In unit life is not as bad as you think, I am a men and my specs doesn't have to shout & shout everyday. Sooner or later we will become bond together and focus on one objective and that is ORD! Even after ORD, during reservist we are so close to each other like long lost friend whereby druing exercise men take care of the sgt and sgt taking care of our welfare.

Bascially it's good that you have a plan to come out with and of cos if you pass your napfa there will be a 2 months reduction but not a lot of ppl are doing these like what you said hire a trainer and train you till you pass your napfa with either silver or gold.

So did those women you came across rappel? Hahahaha!

During conversion course we do few times from no idea what is rappelling and slowly we learn the basic to the more advance rappelling. GCC also does include 2km costal swim and a 2km combat assault course. Not every battalion mission we will get to do rapelling. Don't ask me why ask the higher HQ. If you think Guards is exactly the same as INF than I think the INF have to go through all those shit above.
Yup, I was around to watch them rappel down from tower. Somehow those female officers do much better than the male counterparts.

why did they scrap the l torch
No idea too, those ITI officer told me about it that L-torch will be phase out soon & replace by a solid looking mag light. The mag light are available in e-marts & cost pretty cheap too if I not wrong cos some of my platoon mates brought it.

Guys, let's compare from year 2000 till now what are the soliders field equipment that the latest solider have. When I went back for my ICT recently, I realise
L-touch replace by a black looking solid mag light.
Jackknife replace to latest SOG.
Fieldpack replace to BIGGER fieldpack.
Ali baba bag replace to a spacious black duffle bag.
What else? Anybody knows more about it?
