If you want to go Desaru or Kota Tinggi or Mersing, be careful, the Malaysian trade and consummer minister said you must plan your journey because Singapore cars will be bannd from buying petrol 50 km from JB and if you do not have the petrol to come back, you will have to abandan your car!How far and how deep into the jungle you must also estimate, otherwise, you may have to sleep with the tigers and orang utans if you do not have the petrol to come back!
Instead of imposing a fee for Singapore cars entering Malaysia, they resort to such simplistic action of banning all Singapore cars from purchasing enough petrol and go anywhere you want, especially when you are on duty in the southern state of Johore! The hardest hit will be those Malaysians using Sg cars staying in JB and those Singaporeans staying in JB!But come to think of it many Johoreans will come up with some illegal but lucrative petrol trades and many lives will be lost during those dangerous transaction which may cause explosion and lives loss!Is the Malaysian minister thinking of better options and more realistic way of stopping foreign cars from topping up petrol in Malaysia?

It seems that every one has forgotten about the inflation after the Mas Selamat episode sidetrack them, now PUB is going to increase its electricity charges again. How the GST increase aggravated the hardship of the heartlanders, only God knows who are sucking whose blood till you lie on your dead bed and they openly declared that most poor heartlanders could live beyond 80!

Every car owner pays road tax, we do not own the road! Many hog the road, only traffic police can do something. We have old heroes above 70 driving slowly on the road, we have taxi drivers pretending to be law abiding sticking to speed limits when they have passengers. You see mad taxi drivers zoomng left and right wanting to rush to get more trips. You see young punks first time car owner trying to show off his new machine! You see millionaire driving big luxurious car enjoying the beauty of his toy on the road! You see Malaysian school bus ferrying factory workers on the fast lane! Can you teach them a lesson? You can't possibly take the laws into your own hand!
It takes all kinds to make up this world, so young man be patienct if you treasure your live! It's better to be late than never! If you want to have some speeding thrill, go to Johor driving circuit to have some fun!Singapore so called expressway is not for you!

Looks like the PM may have to look into the drains again for mosquitoes! With higher pay, they may be more busy dealing with something not relating to mosquitoes or industrial safety!Counting the number of dengue patients and industrial fatalities so far, we are concerned that it may surpass the previous records by the end of the year!
-
-
-
why pay those ministers millions to sleep on their job? A classic example was the dengue outbreak in the past year, was that accidental?Worst still it needed the PM to look into the drain to check the mosquitoes! Was the cave-in near Golden mile along the Nicol Highway also an accident?
Some ministers are still moonlighting for more money even after earning millions, how they should explain for that sort of scenerio, money not enouh? If it is not enough then leave the minister post and let others do a good job!
-
-
-
They benchmark their pays to the top earners in Singapore even after earning millions! The private sectors benchmark our pay to the foreign workers! That's how the rich become richer and the poor may become maids or domestic helpers, that unbalanced pay increase may fuel further inflation and more poverty stricken may head for the mrt track!
Please tell me how to educate our children not to be 'greedy' with money when practically almost every other day we are bombarded by a barrage of news about ministers fighting for more money! Worst still, it is in the coffee shops, market place, and in the internet! The teachers are facing an uphill task to educate the Singapore children about the real value in life!
Do you find any other nations in the world keep fighting for more money for their parlimentarians' pockets almost every other year?
-
-
-
For the sake of the future of Singapore, it may be wise to outsource all the ministerial jobs at a fraction of a single minister's pay. We can try to get the top brains from all over the world and train them to put Singapore before self because Singapore may be a paradise to them.
The ministers' pay and its impending increases have caused a lot of disunity among Singaporeans and any time we will lose a war to our neighbours if they know how to exploit the weak situation within the country! They know Singaporeans are fighting only for $$$$$$$ and nothing else in their lives!!!!!Most Singaporeans have put $$$$$$ before self and not nation before self, so the subsequent weakness will disintegrate the little red dot into obscurity.
Should we go back to history to find out how the Roman Empire collapsed?
-
-
-
Before we examine the red-eye disease that swept across our neighbourhood, first we must look at our own behaviour and find out what actually causing such epidemic.
Singapore is doing well no doubt and most feel that our local media are boasting too much day in and day out about our achievements. That 'BEST IN THE WORLD", "FIRST IN THE WORLD",should not use too often and we need someone else to praise our achievement and we should not praise ourself too often. Our lcal media are trying to boost our confidence but inadvertantly hurt them too often.
Our ministers earn the highest salary in the world have already causing them some discomfort, that inferiority complex is part of the normal and healthy human reactions but a little red dot keeps projecting itself "THE BEST IN THE WORLD, THE FIRST IN THE WORLD, THE HIGHEST IN THE WORLD" may give them many sleepless nites!
Think for youself, if you are staying in the HDB neighbourhood and you earn 50 times the salary more than your heighbours' and you keep boasting about your achievements to your neighbours, check to see how your neighbours react!
No matter how Singapore needs to be more humble and gracious. If you are rich, keep it to yourself! If you are good, let others look up to you. If you are smart, let the world judges you and you need not have to hurt others by hinting that they are stupid!
Our local media should refrain from all those unnecessary connotations
-
-
-
If the MB of Johor earned an annual income of S$3million and above and if he has an education like his DPM Tun Rajak, most believes that his attitude towards Singapore may be entirely different from what he is today. Most believes that the red eye epidemic has swept across our neighbours lately, may be due to the local media kept pumping up our confidence towards our past and our present economic performance.(whether it is true or not is up to you to judge)
May be Singapore, especially our local media need to be more well behaved as it is harmless to be more humble and have some sensitivities towards our sensitive neighbours. Let others judge our achievements and not keep blowing our own trumpet day in and day out!
Just imagine if one of your colleagues earn double your pay while doing the same job as you monthly, how would you feel if you know the truth? How will you feel if you know that one of them earn 50-100 times your salary monthly? We are all human and the tolerance of human is limited. You will not feel "buoy song" if you know that your immediate neighbours are rich. If they kept flaunting their wealth in front of you, well, just see how long you can withstand that sort of behaviours!

Singapore used to lament that it did not have any natural resources and it has only its people to rely on. over years it has milked its population whichever way it wanted and built up a reserves of more than US$100 billions. The theme is always 'Money Not Enough'!For most Singaporeans they just lament to pay and pay.
Lately Indonesia has banned the export of sand to Singapore and Thailand has cancelled some of its govt to govt link with Singapore. Singapore should sit back and reflect what has actually gone wrong. Has Temasek gone through the proper channel to take over the sensitive national asset from Tatsin?Has the Chinook helicopter from SAF blown up too much dust during its last tsunami rescue operation and caused some red eye problem? Dr Mahatair was not happy because Singapore wanted to charge them market rate for the urgent loan he needed to fight off the currency speculators during the last Asian currency crisis,he still bear the grudge against Singapore until today.
For the sake of survival, do we need to go to that extend to stay alive?More poor Singaporeans are heading for the MRT tracks to end their lives. Is the govt doing the right thing to just keep taxing its people in good time and even in bad time. they claimed that economy is doing well but consumers' spendings are drastically down, what has gone wrong with the flexi-wages and the effects of globalisation. Are they taking more care of the SMEs than its own poor citizen?
-
-
-
That was the way they designed and abused the ‘flexi wages’ system by enriching the management teams of the SMEs who emulated the ministers’ pay packet and cut back all pay increases for the middle and lower income groups, bringing in more cheaper ‘foreign talents’ in the name of globlisation. Listed companies and GLCs are earning more as a result and all credits go to them at the expense of the vast work force…......

Many poor Singaporeans already find Sentosa "expensive' even at this level of charges if they want to visit every attractions in the island. The money can be used for a 2 nights 3 days stay in Genting highland or Cameron Highland in Malaysia!
when the world-class family leisure attractions are ready by 2010, even the middle income may find it expensive to visit the island resort!By then the GST may be 15% and the cost of living 5 times that of today's and our miserable pay packet may remain miserable due to the so called 'Globalisation" and the 'flexi-wages system'.
you may be surprised if you conduct a survey to find out how many Singaporean has not been to Sentosa Island in their whole lifetime because of the exorbitant charges!

when you retire to Malaysia,my advice is that you DO NOT buy a property there. Just rent one say in Port Dickson or near Malacca as the rental of those single storey terrace houses are cheap(not more tha S$100!). Stay there as long as you want and if you fancy another location like Penang, Lumut, Ipoh, Cameron Highland, Genting or KL,move where you want to go and rent a small flat for one or two hundred ringgits per month. Just move around any part of Malaysia until you 'jelak' then move on to another location without having to get stuck by owning a property in one location. To buy one property in Malaysia is very easy, just pay only!BUT when you want to sell it, you may have to wait until kingdom comes or you want to sell it half price!!!
Security is not a problem if you stay humble and be alert at all time. Talk and behave or dress like one of them and you are safe like another Malaysian!
When you want to stay in Malaysia, do not bother what Dr. Maharatail said, just enjoy yourself and be happy, keep your Singapore citizenship and return to Singapore once in a while. for more infor, just go to this website;-http://www.12retireinmalaysia.com/
No doubt China and Thailand have better exchange rates but it is too far and not convenient in case you feel home sick and decided to return!Your main intention is to stretch your S$$$$$ in case GST goes up to 10% and above!
Most middle income and lower income groups are feeling the heat in the past couple of years living in Singapore! Many are trying hard to keep their heads above water. Many heartlanders are feeling desperate as Transport fares, gst, PUB and the general cost of living are escalating but their pays,CPF are either cut or stagnant, some do not even able to find a job! Many find MRT track attractive, others look to the high HDB to end their miserable lives! So an alternative route to a happy living may be moving to the nearest north to stretch your miserable dollars and find some solace there instead of having to whine and face the $$$ loving system in Singapore!

Soon you will hear that GST is going up to 15% because if Singaporeans want to be rich, you have to make sacrifice first, contribute to subsidise to explore for oil in Singapore water- it is for the good of your next generation, but ministers like us have to increase or peg our pay to those oil producing countries’, otherwise who will manage our oil find?

when Singaporeans want to migrate, normally the rich and the more sophisticated Singaporeans may choose to go south to Australia or, alternatively, the states or Canada. If the cost of living keeps escalating in Singapore and the incomes keep declining, more middle income and the poor Singaporeans may take a shorter route to Malaysia. If the South Johor Iskandar Development proves attractive, more Singaporeans may chose to stay there which is nearer home. In fact there are quite a sizable number of Singaporeans staying in JB and rented out their HDB here in Singapore.
Will Singapore one day become a ghost town and mainly occupied by the so called 'foreign talents'?Who will defend Singapore in case of any any foreign threat? Malaysia may have innovating a sophiticated way to quietly intergrate Singapore by offering Singaporeans (or any other foreigners as an excuse}a place to live and work without having to show their passport! Who said the economy is doing well? Most believe that only the government is doing very very well because they have collected more taxes from petrol, ERP, COE,car import duties,GST..........whereas most Singaporeans were milked dry by paying higher PUB, higher petrol prices, higher transport cost and most of their pay packets remain stagnant because the government encouraged most companies in Singapore to go flexi-wages and who actually benefit?????Those top guns in GLCs and most listed companies are paying themselves big fat bonus plus pay increases and those at the lower end were have to make do with stagnant pay with CPF cut and threatened with pay cut because they have encouraged foreigners to come in at a much cheaper rate! They even tell you that there is no such thing as iron rice bowl for Singaporeans, go and upgrade yourself or work until you drop dead! Some could'nt even find a decent job to feed themselves and were forced to jump into MRT track to end their lives!

Why in such a small red dot they need so many MPs and unnecessarily incur extra cost for the nation? Why more listed companies are earning more because they stinged and save on wages! They should conduct a survey to find out the facts on how the general public fare before they decided to increase GST.
Why dont they come down to the heartland to talk
to the heartlanders to find out how they are getting on? Are the
ministers eyeing for more pay increase soon to enhance their
millions?
