CJ sat among the govt ministers during the National Day Rally.It seems he is the colleague of the ministers.
A few years ago, I understand oppositon MPs were not invited for the rallies.The rallies are attneded by many grassroot leaders who are of course PAP supporters or members.Should CJ, who is from the independent judiciary, attend the rally?

There are 2 good proposals in pg 1:
1. Two memebers suggested to make the prices of shark fin soup very high.It can be achieved by the govt impose a heavy tax on shark fins or the govt imposes a rule that the shark fin soup must be sold at a certain minimum high price.So it would depend on how high the price of the soup is fixed that determine the effectiveness of the measure.
2. A member suggested banning shark fishing.To implement this proposal requires international cooperation or the work of the relevant world organisation.
Both suggestions can work.The 1st proposal is easier to implement.

How many sharks have been cruelly killed in order for us to eat shark fin soup?
The Chinese term for shark fin soup is "yuchi (fish wing)" soup.By right, it should be "yuqi (fish fin)" soup.The Chinese don't know the mysterious wrong term used for the soup!
Acutally shark fin has little taste.I think the shark fin soup tastes quite similar without shark fins.IChefs can come up with other soups or use other ingredients such as abalone or fish meat in place of shark fins for the shark fin soup.I suggest the expensive shark fin soup be replaced by the expensive bird nest soup which can be taken at the end of the dinner.
I suggest the govt ban the imort of shark fins.
