I have been using Norton antivirus (renewed my subscription for 1 year during June) but I have found that with norton anti-virus installed on my comp it seems to be making my comp very slow.
At first when I installed norton I only needs 2-3 minutes to start the comp before i can connect to the internet but now i needs almost 10 minutes before i can connect to the net. i tried removing unwanted programmes and files in my comp but to no avail.
worse still, on most occasions, after i connected to the net and when norton is doing auto update my comp will hang for a couple of minutes before resuming to normal.
so may i know what can i do to counter this problem and are there better anti virus tools besides norton? thks

Don't give up so easily while at the meantime don't put too much feelings for her.

If you simply give up before doing your best, would it be a pity and will you regreted in the future that you have not done enough to win her hearts.
Even if you want to give up, give up only when you have done your very best!
And yes, you can wait for her if you think it is worth to do so but at the meantime you are waiting for her, if someone more suited to you than her came across in your life why not consider her?

Originally posted by Scania:The thing is, SBST did approach the non-profit organizations before deploying the WAB. If they didn't had, you'll probably see one or two on each service.
Demographic figures are also another factor. West side has less people staying in, and generally, they would deploy less WABs in places whereby there are less people living in, cos usually the no. of proportion of PIWs to the total number of people living in Singapore would be the same if you compare it with the East and West. This is one reason why they have more WAB services in the east cos its an undeniable fact that there are more people living in the East and ceteris paribus, there would be more PIWs.not sure about the east side but jurong west is definitely an high populated so we can't necessary say that the population in the east is higher than the west.......

During my time in Tekong, when I saw officers, be it 2LT or MAJ or whatever, as a recruit, I will greet and alute to them.
Once I came out from Tekong, when I saw officers whom i dunno inside the camp, I don't even greet them, let alone salute.
If there are situations in which I have to talk to the officers, I will 'greet' him 'sir' as a courtesy gesture.

conditional pass should be E and for that the GPA should be somewhere around 0.5

so it means that you needs an average grade of c in order to get a diploma? but D is still a pass grade also
or you mean that a person with a GPA of 2.0 means that he is a
average D student?Edited by ah-soh 31 Jan `07, 10:23PM

Originally posted by Gordonator:since this chinese new year festive session falls on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday plus New Year eve on Saturday, I believe most units won't get chinese to do guard duties for these 4 days. which makes me wonder, are there enough non-chinese personels to do guards for this period?
cos when i was in service, my unit was having trouble finding guards to cover for 2 days of chinese new year duties. this year got 4 days to cover, wonder will units face this problem...during my NS days, those non-Chinese were told to do 48 hours of orderly duty instead.
