Subaru WRX as Police Patrol

Got insider news say that Policeman might be driving Subaru car to patrol.
So those who are currently driving Subaru WRX white colour one will be super sian now like this

If they add in the sunk and hidden costs and modifications in order to make it faster then normal WRX. (Which they like to do to normal mazda 323 and toyota)
So i estimate it to be about 60,000 =)
I reckon there's going to be more people signing up to join the police force
to drive the WRX.

U may be wrong.....what u may be referring to applies only in third world and rogue nations like Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Coloumbia ect......Police force in other countries especially western countries like in US have better system of information networking....They have mini computers in their police cars linked to Satellite ect for quite sometime already...Can u really find that in Singapore?...and cities there have CCTV cameras very often installed in public places....Originally posted by SMAPLionHeart:In Singapore, you can't run .

Maybe a person there could escape but not for long...if he's a wanted criminal who wrecked a lot of damage and havoc in society.....he would of cos be the top priority for capture...sometimes nation wide manhunt complete with helicopters, news crew ect trailing one suspect and shown over the media..at times the suspect is just a suspect and not yet even identified as a confirmed involvment in a particular case...the moment he runs, he becomes a celebrity......These things get sensationalised over there and shown "live" on TV.....pretty exciting but in Singapore?....U have to say life's rather dull cause we dnt really have criminals of that calibre and so police force doesnt feel the need to sensationalise..here's too small....nowhere to run, nowhere to hide....Over there , police officers are awarded distinctions and medals for their part in dealing successfully with a case... -

Why don't the police drive Ah Beng car like Honda Civic?
Btw.. side track a bit. Dunno how true lah. But some of my friends who parked their cars next to Honda Civic at places like Mohd Sultan would end up seeing scratches and lines on their cars, esp if my friends' cars are very well polished. They say Honda Civic Ah Beng always do things like this. Dunno how true lah. -

So what car do you drive? You think a continental car is necessarily a good car? Hondas have good engine and WRX are internationally acclaimed. A base stock WRX (without the STI badge) is a better performer than the overpriced and glitzy Mazda RX8 and Nissan 350Z. Let's not even talk about the performance of your standard BMWs and Mercs. Maybe you're just a bunch of fools who don't appreciate a good car when you see one.

WRX is good lah. No doubt about it. But I still prefer Legacy GT (not the normal Legacy hor!). Nowadays, when I see ppl driving WRX white colour one, I will have to control my laughter. And then I will try to see the driver's face to see whether he has a very sian expression or not.
I saw from Subaru forum that the WRX owners complain and complain. They all very fed up liao, saying that Subaru already made so much money from them. Why must still make money from the police? -
it's not like Subaru actively went and got the SPF to buy the things
guy in a white wrex drives up and everyone of the maniac drivers run for it, thinking the cops have come -
Now ahbengs will have to change their cars.
Subaru WRX is not good for crash-impact protection as compared to continental cars , but can do high speed chases , what if the policeman lose control ? i forsee the loss of lives.
