Friends jealousy problems

Hi.. I'm in my early twenties (girls never reveal their true age right??) and am currently studying overseas...
Life is great... people here are friendly. I've made quite a lot of new friends in uni. Doing well in studies too.
But heres the problem.
Some of my friends are jealous of me because I came from a 'rich' family. They are always picking on me because I drive a nice car (Honda accord - very nice meh?) and say I always wear expensive clothes and use money to buy everything I want.
They even went to gossip about me paying (girl lecturer) and sleeping with the guy lecturer for my grades. I'm sick of it.
Now I'm getting conscious.. that people like be because I have money. Sigh... -

I can't just ignore them.. I mean they used to be my best friends.. I know what they are doing is wrong. But I still have feelings for them.
But there is one friend that's the worst.. Last time when we were friends. I told her a big secret.. something I've never told anyone before.. Now this friend is kinda blackmailing me with that secret. Shes hinting that if i don't do things her way.. the secrets will be out on the net! ARRRRGH... -

I don't show off.. Just because I drive a "nicer" car.. doesn't mean im showing off.. just because I wear designer labels, doesn't mean I'm a show off. -
now is the time to learn and be firm.
break up the friendships with those bloodsuckers. they are not really your friends anyway.
ignore the blackmails also -

I don't think i'm a person who shows off.. I mean.. because they are my friends I share things with them... what my dad does where I live... and because of that I', labeled as a rich girl. I never tell them how much money I have and what I do with it. And besides, its not even my money. I don't see how this 'asian will attach same species' had anything to do with this... its not a racial thing right? Having said that... I've been attacked by 'mistyblue' already only after a few posts! And he/she doesn't even know me. Maybe its just human nature to be mean.... sigh... -

I am a nice girl... I don't talk behind peoples back.. I don't simply waste my parents money.. I dont do drugs.. and I guess I'm allowed to worry about what people say behind my back (especially my close friends)
I'm just wondering what I've done wrong. Thats why I'm here right? I thought in Aunt Agony I can share my worries with people.. who will give me advice - not judge me.
